The reason Clean. exists

Logan Forest
Founder, Clean.
A few months ago, I got some bloodwork back that I didn't love. My testosterone was low, and declining. My doctor put me on medication, and it helped some — but the numbers kept slipping. That didn't sit right with me, so I did what I always do when something doesn't add up: I started digging.
What I found sent me down a rabbit hole I never expected. Research kept pointing to the same culprit — microplastics and the chemicals that come with them, which studies have linked to hormone disruption. And once I started looking for where they were coming from, the answer was: basically everywhere. Food packaging. Water. Cookware. And the thing touching my skin sixteen hours a day — my clothes.
Here's the honest truth: I couldn't afford to overhaul my entire life overnight. Nobody can. So I picked one battle. Clothing.
I spent days researching. I found lists, blogs, brands covered in words like "eco-friendly," "natural," and "conscious." But I hit a wall almost immediately: I couldn't tell who was actually verified and who was just marketing to people like me. Those words aren't regulated. Anyone can print them on a tag. I was trying to protect my health, and I couldn't even tell if I was about to get scammed.
Eventually, I cracked the code — real third-party certifications, official databases where you can verify a brand's claims, the difference between a company that's certified and one that just borrows the language. But it took me days of work that most people will never have time for.
That's why I built Clean. So you don't have to go through what I did.
I'll be straight with you: I don't have a degree in chemistry or textiles. I'm not a doctor, and I'm not going to promise you a t-shirt will change your bloodwork. What I am is a 19-year-old who got a wake-up call about his health way earlier than anyone should — and who now cares, maybe too much, about helping other people protect theirs. Every brand on this site has been checked against real certifications by an actual human: me.
I'm just getting started. But I plan to build Clean. into a company people genuinely trust — and I'd love to have you along from the beginning.
What Clean. is
Verified, not just claimed.
Clean. is a curated home for non-toxic clothing — one place to find brands that have actually proven it.
Every brand here is checked against the leading third-party textile certifications: GOTS, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and bluesign. These aren't marketing words. They're independent standards that test for the stuff you don't want against your skin — PFAS, BPA, phthalates, formaldehyde, heavy metals, toxic dyes. If a brand can't back up its claims, it doesn't make the site. Simple as that.
We're also honest about the gray areas. Some great companies certify only part of their catalog — so we label every brand as either Fully Certified or Partially Certified, and when it's partial, we tell you to check the specific item. You'll never have to guess.
Tier 1
Fully Certified
Every product from this brand qualifies.
Tier 2
Partially Certified
Some lines qualify — check each product's badges.
What it takes to earn a spot on Clean.
Certifications get a brand in the door — but they're not the whole story. When I choose brands, I'm also looking for:
Built to last
Clothes that hold up for years, not fall apart in two. Buying quality once beats replacing junk forever — for your wallet and the planet.
A lighter footprint
Brands making real efforts on energy, water, and waste — not just printing leaves on their tags.
Actually wearable
Non-toxic shouldn't mean boring. Everything here is stuff you'd genuinely want to wear.
Every budget
You'll find premium brands and affordable ones side by side. Clean clothing shouldn't be a luxury item.
Why you can trust us
Clean. isn't a clothing brand pushing its own line. We carry many brands across every category — so we have no reason to tell you one is best when it isn't. Our only product is trust.
When you buy through Clean., you purchase directly on the brand's own website. We never touch your payment. Some of our links may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you — it's how we keep the lights on — but no brand can pay its way onto this site. Certifications decide that, not checks.
Where we're headed
Today, Clean. is clothing. Tomorrow, we want to be the place you check before you buy anything that touches your life — a marketplace as easy as the big guys, but where every product is verified and the words on the label actually mean something.
One category at a time. Starting with what you wear.
How to verify for yourself
Don't take our word for it
Every certification we list can be independently verified. Two of the best public databases:
